Crowns and bridges are used to restore and enhance teeth that are damaged or to take the place of missing teeth. A crown (also referred to as a cap) is used to entirely cover a damaged tooth. A crown not only strengthens a tooth, but it can dramatically improve a tooth’s appearance, shape and alignment.

Veneers are a dental procedure in which a covering is placed over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are usually only applied to the part of the tooth that is visible when talking or smiling. The procedure can be direct or indirect.
The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is removed, and the procedure is generally less uncomfortable. Veneers are recommended for teeth that have large fillings or little tooth structure.
It's easy to see that tooth-colored fillings look better than amalgam fillings that have a black or silver metal appearance. The tooth-colored resins are bonded to the tooth thus providing more strength than an amalgam filling and a natural look.
Botox reduces the frown and forehead lines. It also is used to reduce the “crow’s feet” lines of the eyes. We offer chairside injections to reduce those lines and enhance your smile.
Root canal treatment (also referred to as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is made necessary when an untreated cavity reaches all the way to the pulp. Treatment may also be needed when deep restorations or trauma to a tooth cause nerve damage. Once the pulp becomes infected, the infection may spread past the root of the tooth, and can begin to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is known as an abscess).
From periodontal problems to whitening discolored teeth, lasers offer a safe and effective method of caring for your smile.
Laser dentistry gives patients several advantages over traditional techniques. In many cases, dental laser treatment does not require anesthesia, so there is no need for needles, no numbness after treatment, and less time in the dentist’s chair!
The benefit of implants is that they look and feel like natural teeth. More than other tooth replacement procedures, implants allow you to eat, talk and laugh with confidence.
The gums, ligaments, and bone around the teeth form the foundation for teeth. All structures are also referred to as the periodontium. When the periodontium is not healthy, it jeopardizes the teeth just as a bad foundation would threaten the stability of a house. Signs of unhealthy periodontium include: gums that are red and bleed easily, persistent bad breath, gums that are pulled away from the tooth, loose teeth, and changes in the position or bite of the teeth.
Bleaching can be used to whiten stained and discolored teeth , or simply to enhance a dull smile. Our office offers two methods of whitening: in-office whitening and tray whitening.
In-office whitening is an ideal for anyone wanting immediate results. The entire process takes place in our office in about an hour, making it the perfect choice for busy individuals.
Wisdom teeth are the last set of molars to grow in and usually start to appear in the teenage years or not until a person is in their twenties. Since they are the last set of teeth to grow in, the rest of the teeth have fillled the mouth and have left little room for the wisdom teeth to come in. In most cases, the wisdom teeth will need to be extracted. |
